Walter Allen is an American Award-winning journalist who presently anchors Good Day Tampa Bay from 4 to 7 a.m. during the week at FOX 13.
When discussing his journalism career, Walter started his broadcasting career in 2007 at KCWY, the NBC affiliate in Casper, Wyoming. During his time there, he was named Best Reporter and Anchor Person of the Year by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
Following three years of employment at Wyoming, Allen moved to ABC/FOX station, WSYX where he worked as the head east and general assignment reporter.
Opportunities for co-anchoring at WSYX in 2011 resulted from the reporter role. While he was there, Walter covered breaking news events and spent valuable time behind the anchor desk.
Due to his experience as a journalist, Buckeye State helped him land a weekend morning co-anchor and reporting position at WISH in Indianapolis, Indiana.
