Additionally, Lada grew up in the town of Spring Grove, Illinois. She later attended Marian Central Catholic High School. After graduation, she attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she studied broadcast journalism. She also captained the cheerleading team till she graduated in 2002.
