Christi Paul is an American Award-winning journalist and former weekday news anchor for HLN and weekend anchor for CNN’s New Day.
Paul began her broadcast journalism as a news anchor, editor, photographer, and reporter at WDTV. After that, she worked in Phoenix and Boise, Idaho, as a reporter and anchor.
During her time at KTVD in Idaho, she became honored by the Idaho Press Club for her stories about Julianne Prudhomme, a four-year-old girl who underwent a five-organ transplant.
In 2003, she joined CNN where she anchored programs on the sister station HLN, which included being a substitute host for Morning Express with Robin Meade.
Moreover, Paul was the weekend anchor for CNN’s New Day for nine years and also covered the GOP Convention in 2016 in Cleveland.
She departed from the network after signing off on New Day Weekend to move back to Ohio on 26th June 2022. Paul started working for the local Cleveland news station WKYC a month later. She will co-anchor What’s New on weekdays and concentrate on special material there.
Paul attended Bellevue High School for her high school level. She then proceeded to the University of Toledo where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
