Lori Pinson is an American award-winning meteorologist who currently works at FOX 2 providing weather Saturday through Wednesday mornings.
Lori holds both the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Seal of Approval and the National Weather Association’s Seal of Approval, Pinson’s post-graduate work includes studying at Johns Hopkins University for Environmental Science and Policy.
Furthermore, she was honored with the prestigious Emmy award for her work in producing an inclusive weathercast for individuals who are deaf.
She has also been recognized with the Best Weather award and Best Use of New Media award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her Emmy-nominated online series, “Lori’s Science Corner,” which she co-created with the National Science Teaching Association. Additionally, her acclaimed series “Lori’s Hidden Michigan” showcases the state’s hidden gems.
