Jacey Birch is an American journalist working as an anchor and animal advocate at WPLG Local 10 News. She anchors the station from 4:30 to 7 a.m. Morning newscasts. As an animal advocate, Brich is so proud to do this work and is part of Local 10’s investigative team. She joined the station in January 2004 and has been here ever since.

Born in South Florida, she grew up in Miami where she ended up attending and graduating from Deerfield Beach Middle School and Deerfield Beach High School. Later, she attended the University of Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

After her graduation, she was off to Clarksburg, West Virginia, and WBOY for her first job. Her first story was the Y2K “CRISIS” on New Year’s Eve. After about six months, she took her next job at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was responsible for daily weather reports and entertainment stories.

From Virginia, she was off to Nashville, where she was in charge of anchoring the weekend weathercasts and reporting from the field at WZTV. From there, Birch was invited to Local 10 News which she humbly accepted, and has since spent over 15 years at the station. She is responsible for anchoring the morning 4:30 to 7 am newscasts.
