Benjamin Hall is a British journalist serving as a State Department correspondent for Fox News Channel based in Washington, D.C. Hall joined his current station in July 2015. Raised in London, e attended and graduated from Ampleforth Collee, City of London School, and also attended Duke University.
Furthermore, Hall attended Richmond University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and later graduated with a diploma in television journalism from the University of the Arts. After Hall was done with his studies he began his career as a journalist focusing on the Middle East.
Since 2007, he has written for The New York Times of London, The Sunday Times, The Independent, The BBC, and other outlets. Jumping to recent highlights of his career, he made a surprise appearance at the Fox News Quarterly Address on September 14, 2022, after his tragic incident in Ukraine.
In November 2022, he received the Coverage Award at the 4th Annual Patriot Award and in December 2022, he received the Foreign Press Award. Most notably, on January 26, 2023, he returned to live television after months of being off the air while still healing from the attack on March 14, 2022. Hall was injured on March 14, 2022, while on an assignment reporting the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine in Ukraine outside of Kyiv. The vehicle he was traveling in was attacked and he was wounded in the legs but his comrade Pierre Zakrzewski was killed in the incident in Horenka, Kyiv Oblast.
Three weeks after the attack, he reported on Twitter that he has lost half of one leg and suffered the loss of function in one eye. He also stated that he had damage to his hearing and minor hand injuries. On July 14, 2022, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott visited him at the Brooke Army Media Center in Texas where he was recovering.
