Aaron Mesmer Biography
Aaron Mesmer is an American Journalist who joined FOX 13 News back in March of 2013. He currently works as a general assignment reporter for FOX 13. Besides being a professional in his career, Aaron is a six-time Emmy Award-nominated and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning journalist. He is a native of New York.
Mesmer worked as a reporter and stand-in anchor for News 12 Connecticut in the New York City market for two years before moving to FOX 13. While there, Aaron covered a number of the important events in the area, including Hurricane Sandy, Tropical Storm Irene, and the horrible Newtown, Connecticut, school tragedy.
Prior to that, Mesmer spent four and a half years covering the station’s finance beat at News 14 Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, and helping to organize coverage of the 2008 and 2009 financial crisis.
In addition, West Virginia is where Aaron began his radio career.
Aaron received a broadcast journalism degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a second specialization in trumpet performance.
Mesmer likes watching the Tar Heels, Yankees, and Jets in his free time, as well as enjoying the beautiful Tampa Bay with his wife Suzy, and their puppy.
