Briona Arradondo is an American journalist currently serving as a co-anchor for the FOX 13 weekend evening newscasts. Arradondo joined the station in August 2018. Talking about her education, she earned her master’s degree in broadcast journalism and international affairs at American University in Washington.

An Atlanta native, Briona graduated from Berry College in Rome with a bachelor’s degree in communication and Spanish. Most notably, she discovered her love of broadcasting after interning at WSB-TV in Atlanta. Growing up as an Army brat, she developed a passion for travel, culture, and great food.

Prior to working in Tampa Bay, she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WSMV in Nashville. While there, she earned a regional Emmy Award for her reporting on breaking news during severe flooding across Middle Tennessee. In addition, she collaborated with international media, contributing live reports for BBC World News from the scene of the deadly Waffle House mass shooting that killed four people in April 2018.

About her start, Arradondo began her broadcast journalism career at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio. She worked there as a weekend anchor and reporter for some time before traveling south to Chattanooga, Tennessee to work as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WTVC.
