Dana Bash is a CNN political reporter, anchor, and chief political correspondent. She is a co-host for all CNN Election Center election night specials. Also, bash Jake Tapper’s replacement on “State of the Union” . Dana has also produced a number of weekend series for the network, including “Evans & Novak,” “Late Edition,” and “Inside Politics.”
She interned at NBC, CBS, and CNN throughout her undergraduate years. Bash was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. On May 12, 2018. Bash moved on to CNN after graduating from college.
She began her career as a weekend producer for shows such as Evans & Novak, Inside Politics, and Late Edition. After working at CNN for a few months, Bash started producing shows about the US Senate. Bash went on to work for CNN in Washington, D.C. as the main political reporter. In addition, she works for CNN as the chief news correspondent.
In 2017, Bash began the CNN series Badass Women of Washington. She is passionate in showcasing females from a wide range of backgrounds and generations, as well as how they have progressed through the ranks.
