John Cena born ( John Felix Anthony Cena ) is an American professional wrestler, actor, and former rapper currently signed to WWE. With a record 16-time world champion in WWE, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
Cena initially moved to California in 1998 with the intention of pursuing a career as a bodybuilder but eventually shifted to professional wrestling in 1999.
He made his wrestling debut with Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) and later signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2001. Cena started his journey in WWE’s developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he won the OVW Heavyweight Championship and OVW Southern Tag Team Championship.
Cena gained significant fame and success when he moved to SmackDown in 2002, adopting the character of a trash-talking rapper.
