Berman is an American standup comedian best known for hosting a live comedy show called UpDating. Brandon launched Up Dating with his co-creator Harrison Forman in 2018.

Brandon created the updating show together with his friend Harrison Forman. Harrison conceived the idea in 2017 while still a Facebook employee living in San Francisco. He would livestream his dates on Facebook with permission from all his participants and share updates with his viewers as well as get feedback from them.
In New York, Berman thought what Forman was doing was hilarious after watching a few dates. The two had been previously introduced in 2015 by their mutual friend Mike Davis when Berman was looking for a creative partner. So Berman came up with the idea of taking those digital episodes and putting them in front of a live audience.
The UpDating Show is 90 minutes long where local blindfolded contestants go on dates in front of live and online audiences and Berman would pop a question once in a while to aid the couple on stage.
Berman said the blindfolds are a key part of the UpDating recipe since one can’t avoid being their real self. Since then the show has been a total success, they signed with WME and have been on tours around the US and Europe such as the hookup tour and updating summer tour.
Before UpDating, Berman worked as a stand-up comedian who performed in comedy clubs such as Gotham Comedy Club among others. In addition to that, he was also an intern at the Howard Stern Show.
